Every large organisation starts with a dream, a foundation on which reality is built. In the year 1961, Mr. Krishanlal Marwah, along with his two sons, Raj Marwah and Sushil Marwah, started manufacturing paper clips and pins. Soon, they had diversified into the manufacture of steel wires in Andheri, Mumbai.

Marwah Group’s first construction of the Marwah complex commenced in 1978. Today, it is a bustling industrial estate, which houses several business houses, offices and showrooms. The third generation brought current Chairman and MD, Mr. Nitin Marwah, and along with it came Marwah House, setting the tone for further development.

The advent of improved construction technology led to the construction of Marwah Centre, a lease only plug-and-play commercial premises, in 2004. 15 years later, Marwah Centre remains home to leading business houses and MNCs from India and around the world.

Between 2008 and 2011, the fourth generation of the family business, Vidur & Pranav jumped in full-time, seeking to diversify business interests over the course of the next decade, ranging from the creation of content IPs in comedy, to working alongside and investing in early stage companies, as well as building a multi-vertical business in sport, covering infrastructure and turf facilities, media and entertainment, running a professional football team, and a full-suite business consultancy.

Today, the group companies business interests are diversified across Real Estate, Hospitality, Sport, Investment and more, with the fourth generation also setting up and running one of India’s leading startup incubators, thinQbate.
